1. Our Appalachian Trail Theme
The Appalachian Lodge, or as we call it, The Appy Lodge, was created to pay homage to America’s most loved footpath, the Appalachian Trail. We teamed up with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy to create a museum-like display throughout our hallways. You’ll find photos from the trail, historical images, maps, fun facts, and more as you make your way around the property. Every guest room is named after a shelter that hikers stay at during their journey on the AT and you’ll find items in every corner of the hotel that was put in place to inspire folks to get outside and explore. Beautiful paintings by Robert Tino are also throughout the property and stir up a desire for one to experience the great outdoors firsthand. It’s also our honor to help the ATC maintain the trail by supporting them from funds raised from our gift shop and bookings. If you’re a lover of the trail, or if you’re just curious about it, you’ll enjoy immersing yourself in the history and beauty of the Appalachian Trail during your time with us.
