What to Expect
As soon as you pull up to SkyLand Ranch, you’ll see a familiar sight: a chairlift! You’ll have fun riding to the top of the mountain on the Horizon Skyride, but if you aren’t comfortable doing that, you can always hitch a ride on a shuttle.
Once you’re at the top, you’ll see all kinds of fun things to do on the ranch. There are live miniature animals everyone will love, including cows, donkeys, and goats. Interact with these creatures and learn more about them, as well as the famous SkyLand longhorns! You can even try your hand at real ranching skills like roping cattle (fake, of course).
Thrill seekers won’t be able to say no to riding The Wild Stallion mountain coaster! You’ll have a blast coasting down the mountainside and flying around every turn until it’s over.
This Sevierville attraction takes pride in the heritage of the Smokies, and that includes paying homage to the people who first came to the area. That’s why they offer live music every day from world-class musician Gary “Biscuit” Davis, who actually played for Dolly Parton for more than 20 years!
SkyLand Ranch isn’t just a place for entertainment, it’s also a place where you can take it easy. There are several places throughout the Ranch where you can sit down and relax as you look out at the beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains.
For an extra fee, don’t miss out on the Safari Hayride! This unique experience at SkyLand Ranch allows guests to get up-close look into the life of our ranch animals. You’ll be able to feed, pet, and take photos with the animals, as the animals allow.
Other things to do at SkyLand Ranch include gem mining, a BB gun shooting range, a playground, a scenic walkway, and more.
Williford Mercantile
In addition to all the fun things to do and see at SkyLand Ranch, you’ll also be able to enjoy a little retail therapy! The shop is located at the Williford Mercantile, their very own retail barn. You can find western wear so you really step into the ranch theme, even back at home! They have real cowboy hats, clothing, and more. Kids can take home their favorite stuffed farm animal or another toy, and there’s also boutique-style clothing, seasonal items, accessories, and more.
Food at SkyLand Ranch
Like we said, this adventure park has fun and food, so you’re probably wondering what delicious treats you’ll find up there. At the Cafe, you’ll find walking tacos, sandwiches, salad, soup, and pizza. In addition to the food barn, there are several food trucks parked on the lawn. Buck’n BBQ serves classic southern barbecue, while The Chuckwagon has chicken tenders, sandwiches, and burgers. To end the meal with something sweet, grab an insane milkshake from the SkyLand Cafe & Bakery or some homemade candy!
If you’re someone who loves to combine food and fun, then you’ll want to try the popcorn or create-your-own chocolate bar! To make your own popcorn, you’ll get to choose a sauce and a topping. Get milk chocolate with marshmallows, peanut butter and Reese’s, or another combo of your choice! For the chocolate bar, you get to choose from milk, dark, or white and any of the toppings on their list!
