From one of the newest dining locations in Gatlinburg to a local favorite that’s been around since 1974, we’ve put together some of the best spots in town! Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin
During your stay with us at The Appy Lodge you’ll receive a daily complimentary breakfast. However if one morning you find yourself craving a hearty meal with stacks of pancakes and crisp bacon then you’ll just need to take a few steps to arrive at Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin. On their menu is everything from grandma style pancakes to Elkmont Egg Platters and a Smoky Mountain Club Sandwich. If you’re traveling with children, they’ll enjoy the Junior Bear Cakes that are complete with a smiling bear face! If you’re looking to get your sugar fix, check out the Reese’s Peanut Butter or Sticky Buns pancakes. Multiple omelets, the Healthy Start Waffles and a Gluten Sensitive Breakfast option can be found on the menu as well for folks seeking a healthy meal.
Parton’s Deli
Often described as a “Gatlinburg Gem” and a local icon, Parton’s Deli is one of the most loved local spots in town. Located just down the road from our hotel, the restaurant is a classic family-owned delicatessen. You can expect downhome friendly service, locals grabbing lunch and an atmosphere that can only be described as nostalgic. You’ll often find reviews that rave about the sandwiches, homemade deviled eggs and potato salad as well as the lemon pound cake. Parton’s is closed on Sunday and Monday each week but they’re open from 9a.m. until 5p.m. every other day. The next time you’re visiting with us and hoping to eat like a local, just take a stroll down to one of the best little spots in the Smokies!
Chesapeake’s
Guests that have an appreciation for amazing seafood are sure to love one of Gatlinburg’s latest culinary additions, Chesapeake’s. The restaurant is a fine dining experience that is perfect for special occasions or just a nice meal with family and friends. The menu consists of fresh oysters, Maine lobsters, fresh Maryland crab cakes and countless other choices that have been highly reviewed since their opening date. Time after time customers that have dined at Chesapeake’s have spoken very highly of their beautiful property and the wonderful staff as well. Ole Red
Blake Shelton’s Ole Red restaurant moved into the neighborhood last year as well and it’s been the talk of the town ever since the doors opened! With a nice laid-back vibe, live entertainment, great drinks and a list of mouth-watering items on the menu, it’s a place that just about everyone is sure to enjoy! It is afterall the only spot in town where you’ll find a Black Bear, Drunk’n Mule, a Redhead Bluetick Hound and The Warden all under the same roof! Stop in for a full meal, a drink and tunes or a late night Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit and chips the next time you’re roaming the streets of Gatlinburg!
