6 Things You Didn’t Know About Our Gatlinburg Hotel
We’ve shared a lot about us over the years, but there may be some things you don’t know about us! While we talk a lot about how our location is fantastic and our great amenities, like free breakfast every day of your stay, there are a few other things you don’t hear us talk about as much. So check out these 6 things you didn’t know about our Gatlinburg hotel!
1. We have indoor and outdoor pools.
You’ve probably seen photos of our outdoor pool, but did you know we also have an indoor pool? Now you can enjoy a dip any time of the year instead of only being able to swim during the summer season! We also have an indoor hot tub, so you can relax and spend as much time in the pool as you want, no matter when you stay with us!
2. Our theme centers around the Appalachian Trail.
As soon as you see our Gatlinburg hotel, you’ll know we have a theme. And that theme is the Appalachian Trail! This incredible hiking trail goes through the Smoky Mountains, and thousands of people make it a goal to hike the trail in its entirety. We thought it would be fun for the people who come to the area to see the trail, or anyone, really, to enjoy a mountain and hiking theme when they’re so close to the Smokies!
3. We have an Appalachian Trail Museum in our hotel!
Since we wanted our theme to be everywhere, we included a small museum dedicated to the Appalachian Trail in our hotel. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy provided us with gorgeous and informative displays our guests can enjoy. You’ll learn so much about the area and the trail itself!
4. We have a gift shop.
You may not have known that we have a gift shop in our hotel! If you find yourself craving a soda or one of your favorite candies or chips, you can just walk downstairs and grab it instead of having to leave the premises! We also offer our own merchandise, as well as Smoky Mountain souvenirs that will be great for remembering your trip.
5. We support local artists.
When we redid our hotel a few years ago, we commissioned several local artists for photos of The Appalachian Trail. You’ll also find custom trail signs that are replicas from the trail that were made by a local artist, and we also feature paintings from local painter Robert A. Tino.
6. There are plenty of spots to relax.
When you’re on vacation at our Gatlinburg hotel, you are probably looking for ways to relax while you’re away from your real life. That’s why we provide several spots in and around our hotel for our guests to get some needed R and R. We have outdoor fire pits that will keep you warm and are great during the summer and fall. There are also rocking chairs where you can enjoy the fresh air, or you can sit inside the lobby in front of the fireplace. Of course, other places you can relax include your hotel room on our comfortable beds, or in front of the fireplace on the couch in your suite!
